SOF Suffolk Supper – Friday 16 October 2026

In recent years, there have been requests from OFs to have a less formal Suffolk Supper gathering, held in a local pub as an alternative venue to the College who has kindly hosted this event for many decades.

We are delighted to confirm that this year’s Suffolk Supper is to be held at the Sorrel Horse Inn & PH, Norwich Rd, Barham, Ipswich IP6 0PG.  Details on the pub can be found here:  https://sorrelhorse.co.uk/

This venue has a special connection with the College, as we are to be kindly hosted by Kate Jackson, OF (P84-93) and her husband Neil, Hon OF, who are now the custodians of this beautiful timber framed pub, offering B&B.   I am sure many of you will remember Kate, who was the SOF Coordinator, based at the College for almost a decade and her husband Neil, who taught golf at the College for many years.  The pub location link can be found here:   https://sorrelhorse.co.uk/location

We’d be delighted for all OFs and their partners to join us, with drinks in the bar from 6.30pm and supper at 7.30pm.  For those perhaps travelling the distance, accommodation can be provided on a first come first served basis @ £90/night, including breakfast.  A link to the accommodation can be found here: https://sorrelhorse.co.uk/stay

Kate has provided a fabulous 3 course menu choice, at a cost of £34.00 per person* to include tea/coffee.  As the pub is very popular, we ask that supper choices are pre-ordered, with a booking deadline of Monday 5^th October.
