SOF help provide OF with hockey goalkeeping kit

In September 2017 Luke Quartermaine started at Exeter University and was keen to continue his hockey career there.  However, as a goalkeeper he no longer had access to all the expensive equipment he had been used to while at the College.  The SOF Trustees therefore decided to provide a grant of £250 towards the cost of Luke buying his own set of kit.  He is pictured here in a team photo at Exeter Uni in his new kit and wish him well.

Luke reports "I have settled in well at Exeter over the last semester and am thoroughly enjoying the many aspects of University life. I am studying Sport and Exercise science which I am finding very interesting. I have tried to take as many of the opportunities available and joined the hockey club and welsh society. I would not have been able to be involved with hockey if it were not for the generosity of society; their help allowed me to buy a goalkeeper kit which do not come cheap and I am extremely grateful for this. I have been playing with the third team as the highest placed Fresher goalkeeper and hope to be involved in the first team squad next year."
