1970s Leavers Reunion Lunch at the College – 5 July 2025

Chris Essex (K69-75) writes :  Its now an amazing 50 years since I personally left the College in 1975 and it therefore seems an appropriate time for all of us who left in the 1970s to get together again.  Its also 9 years since I last organised a 1970s decade reunion at the College, when around 80 attended.

I’m very grateful to the College for agreeing to host this lunch in the Main Dining Room and afterwards providing tours of the College so that you can witness the improvements since our time.

Further to my earlier Save the Date email, it has been great to already hear from a number of you about coming and sadly some who can’t make it eg live overseas!

I have now agreed with the College the menu for the lunch, which will be served in the main dining room to bring back lots of memories eg shacking to those of you there in the early 1970s!!  However, the menu is not one you will remember from your time at the College!! The menu will be as follows :

Drinks will be available in Paul’s Court from 12.30, with us sitting down to the meal at 1.15pm in the main dining room.  There will be a bar running throughout lunch.

Tours of the College building will start around 3.30pm after the lunch has finished.  Please meet by the main entrance.  Please be aware that the school breaks up a week before so there will be no students around.

Once again, please spread the word as sadly over half of those who left in 1970s are no longer in touch with us.  If you know someone who we are not in touch with, then please ask them to simply email admin@oldframlinghamian.com and we’ll get them set up.
