Spring Meeting of OFGS on Tuesday, 6th May 2025 at Woodbridge Golf Club
This was the first time since 1993 that we had played at Woodbridge Golf Club, where twenty one members played 18 holes on the Heath Course; we also played there in 1991 and 1992.
Of those, six were members of Woodbridge, and could sign-in the remainder, thus enabling a lower green fee. Our thanks go to them.
The course was in excellent condition despite the prolonged dry weather.
Play was from 10am followed by a 2 course lunch and then prize giving and the AGM
James Blyth won the day and his own Captain’s Prize on 38 points on count back from Hugh Curle, who won The Minter Cup for the best scratch stableford score of 29 points.
Jeremy Kemp was third in Div 1 with 36 points.
Andrew Lillie won Div 2 on count back from James Brocks, both with 35 points.
The AGM followed, conducted by our secretary David Turnbull and Captain James Blyth, which will be reported on by David.
We hope to return to Woodbridge next spring on Tuesday, May 12th.
