This was held on Friday, 13th September, when Society Captain James Blyth and 16 members played at Aldeburgh Golf Club. We wish a warm welcome to Howard Gilbert (Z72-77), a new member of the OFGS.
The course, on a cool but sunny day, was in great condition, with the gorse cut back, but with slow greens due to hollow-tining and sanding. Due to work on altering the second hole, the seventh was reduced to a par 3.
The morning 2 balls, on the main course, were followed by a very tasty lunch then 9 holes of four ball better ball on the River Course.

Le May Cup for best stableford scratch score – Hugh Curle – 26 points
Div. 1 for stableford runner up – Hugh Curle – 38 points

Lamb Trophy – Div 1 for combined Spring and Autumn – Hugh Curle – 73 points
Howard Smith Cup – Div 2 for combined Spring and Autumn – Kevin Hambling – 55 points acb
Mayhew/Sneath Salver for best front nine – 70 yrs plus – Peter Howard-Dobson – 20 points
Afternoon 4- ball better ball results:
