OF named in Kent Women’s First Cricket Team

Sophie Singer (M19-24) has been selected for the Kent Women’s First Cricket Team for the 2025 season — a significant achievement in her developing cricket career.

She is a talented all-rounder known for her right-handed batting and right-arm leg-spin bowling, caught the attention of Kent selectors following her impressive performances in county cricket for Suffolk. Her inclusion in the squad follows successful trials at The County Ground, Beckenham, and is a testament to her growing reputation within women’s cricket.

Still only 18 years old, she joins a strong Kent line-up led by captain Megan Belt. She made her first appearance for the team in the opening match of the Metro Bank Women’s One Day Cup against Middlesex — gaining valuable experience at the top level of domestic women’s cricket.

As the 2025 season continues, Sophie will be contributing to Kent’s campaigns in both the One Day Cup and the Vitality Women’s T20 competitions.
