Simon Dougherty (G60-67) writes: On 20 September 2025, 28 OFs, Hon OFs and their guests gathered for a tasty meal at the Suffolk Supper held at Framlingham College. This popular regional supper had not been held since 2022. All those present once again enjoyed socialising with old friends and colleagues and making new acquaintances. President Kim Alexandra Dickel (M97-98), who had travelled from Germany to visit Framlingham College for a month, spoke and welcomed all present. In particular, she mentioned new Hon OF Joanna Mugliston and her husband who were at their first OF gathering. On behalf of Framlingham College, Martin Myers-Allen (Hon OF) paid tribute to Chris Essex (K69-75) following Chris’ recent decision to stand down as Chair of Trustees and a Trustee of the Society of Old Framlinghamians after 17 years. Martin spoke of the huge debt of gratitude that the Framlingham College community owed to Chris as over £1.1m of benevolence had been received by the College from the Society of Old Framlinghamians during his time as Chair. On behalf of Framlingham College, Martin presented Chris with a bottle of vintage port dating from 1975, the year that Chris left the College. In his response, Chris stated that although he had stepped back as a Trustee, he will continue supporting the Society assisting with the SOF website, the OF Newspaper, Overseas Bag and membership administration.
