Crispin Hardy (G90-95) writes : On Sunday 29th June, a number of Jeff Wornham’s year group (1990 intake) +/- a few year groups either side will be getting together at The College to Celebrate Jeff’s life.
Many OF’s will remember Jeff’s tragic death 20 years ago when he sadly lost his life bravely trying to save someone trapped by a fire in a high rise bock when he was working as a Fireman (See Distinguished Section of website).
Jeff has been and will continue to be missed by his family and a bunch of his school mates who loved him dearly.
On Sunday at 1100hrs many of this bunch will be meeting on The Back when there will be a tour of the School by the school Rev Brynn Bayman for those who would like to see how the college looks in 2025. This will be followed by an extremely ropey cricket match played by many of those in Jeff’s year (and surrounding years).
During Tea Tom Wornham (K86-92) will be saying a few words and Peter Mayo (K89-94), one of the finest OF’s and Auctioneers in the land will be auctioning off some fantastic lots (including Carribean Holidays of a lifetime / sold out Wembley Coldplay tickets etc etc). The proceeds of the auction will be going towards The Firefighters Charity.
There will be Tea / Coffee / Pimms available and sandwiches etc. If you would like to join in the fun, put a reserve on one of the lots or just make a donation please contact Crispin on WhatsApp 07769910017.
Ps – there will be a large number of us heading to The Station on Satuday evening from around 1930hrs too, please come and join us if you can.
