MOREAU LEAVING SCHOLAR

Hannah-Grace Strover

2025 - 2028

I joined Fram in the spring term of Year 8 and aways tried my best to get stuck in ever since. Within my first few weeks, I was lucky enough to go on the Prep School netball tour. Being able to represent the school so soon after joining made me feel part of the community straight away, and it gave me some of my favourite early memories at Fram. From then on, the College helped me grow through my subjects, friendships, netball, art, and so much more—something I will always be grateful for.

When I moved up to the Senior School, still feeling relatively new from the Prep School, I completely underestimated how big a part of my life Moreau House would become over the next five years. From the chaos of slime night to the celebrations after House Dance victories, Moreau genuinely felt like a second family. I joined the school feeling nervous, as I’m sure many of us did, but we grew so much as a group, and the House helped me develop so many key skills—whether through boarding, house nights, or just some of the best catch-ups in the common room. I will always miss Moreau hugely, but I also look forward to seeing where everyone goes next and to staying in touch for years to come.

Academically, Fram gave me the chance to explore many subjects and for A-levels I chose to take English, History, and Art. I thoroughly enjoyed my studies and plan to go on to study English Literature with Media in 2026 after taking a gap year. Art also became a huge part of my life throughout Sixth Form. I’m incredibly thankful for the amazing facilities and the supportive art teachers who allowed me to experiment and express myself in so many different ways. The art department genuinely became one of my favourite places to be during the school day.

As I mentioned, netball was a major part of my time at Fram and a sport I absolutely love. The College gave me so many opportunities both in and out of school to grow as a player and to enjoy the game. Through netball, I formed some of my closest friendships. I was lucky enough to captain the 1st team in my last year, and Saturday matches—win or lose—were a real highlight of the past five years. More than just the performance side, Fram allowed us all to enjoy the sport for what it is, and moments like the boys vs girls netball match (which I’m very happy to say we won!) are memories I’ll always cherish.

Framlingham College has given me so much—opportunities, memories, friendships, and life skills that I’ll carry with me into the future. While I’ll definitely miss the College, I’m also excited to see all the amazing things everyone in my year group goes on to do. I’m extremely grateful to have been awarded the Moreau Leaving Scholarship and I hope to give back to the Fram community by helping to keep us all connected with each other, and also with the school, as we all head off on our own paths in the years ahead.
