The German Crew 2025

German pupils at Framlingham College, were warmly invited to tea and cake by SOF President Kim Alexandra Dickel (M97-98) today. Kim, herself German, is the first Overseas President in the history of the Old Framlinghamians, a remarkable milestone that reflects the school’s long-standing ties with Germany.

Established as the Suffolk County Memorial to Prince Albert, the school’s origins are deeply interwoven with German heritage. The legacy of this German prince remains at the very heart of our identity and continues to inspire us. It lives on through a flourishing German Old Framlinghamian alumni community of more than 400 members, as well as through the many new German students who join the College each year.

Louise North, Principal at Framlingham College, also attended the gathering and affirmed how valuable German pupils are to the life of the school, thriving in all areas of school life from academics and theatre to music and sport. Framlingham College celebrates the diversity of its pupil body. It is a place where each young person can find their place and know that they belong. Our German pupils bring real joy, positivity and warmth to the community.
