OF Climbs Kilimanjaro following death of colleague

James Dougherty (G83-93) is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales.  Following the death of a colleague, Dr Stephan Hugo, he joined a group of friends from the hospital who recently travelled to Tanzania to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m).  Climbing this mountain had been one of the Stephan’s wishes, which he was not able to fulfil before his untimely death.  The Glan Clwyd  team undertook the trip in Stephan’s memory and to raise funds towards an Intensive Care Unit Garden at the hospital.

James reached the summit with the group on 15 October.  So far nearly £20,000 has been raised.
