Since leaving Framlingham in 2002, Alastair Liddell (R92-02) his wife and now daughter, have been fortunate to live and work between London, Monaco and Dubai, building and growing technology businesses along the way. He says it’s been a journey shaped by international moves, long-term partnerships and a fair amount of calculated risk.
Today, he is a Partner and shareholder at RebelDot, a 300-strong end-to-end product development and AI company. They work with global organisations across insurance, fashion, retail and manufacturing to design and build advanced digital and data platforms.
One of the professional milestones he’s most proud of was securing a multi-year partnership with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team. They have now developed innovative AI and data tools that support performance both on and off the track. He says it’s an environment where precision and speed matter, and translating that into meaningful technology solutions has been a hugely rewarding challenge.
This July they’ll be launching a new RebelDot office in Rome, where he’ll be relocating permanently as a family. Their nine-year-old daughter will be starting at St George’s British School, an exciting new chapter for all of them.
From July he’ll be spending most of his time between Rome and Mayfair, balancing growth in Italy with existing work in the UK and Europe, and if not in those places you will find him in an F1 paddock or at Twickenham!
Looking back, he says the foundations built at Fram, resilience, independence and the confidence to step forward early, have played a far bigger role than he probably realised at the time.
