OF Adventure Challenge: Everest 2005

In a recent email to some 700 OFs, David said:

“I have just returned from the very successful college expedition to Peru.

As I’ve talked with expeditioners, past and present, about our experiences, there has been a very apparent interest in offering the opportunity
to repeat the experience, (or try it for the first time).

The college is currently planning an expedition to the Base Camp of Everest
via Nepal and Tibet, in July 2005, and
I have tried to gather potential interest in an OF tandem expedition. It
would appear that there is strong potential for such an expedition, not just from
recent college expeditioners, but also from the OF fraternity in general.”

The first thing David needs is some feedback from people who just might be interested. Age is no barrier, we understand – just a reasonable degree of fitness. The other important factor will be the ability to take a three to four week holiday in the summer of 2005 (and, of course, for the occasional training session with other expeditioners).

Oh yes! And you’ll need to make your mind up by the end of January 2004, when a non-refundable £300 deposit will be required. The total cost of the venture is expected to be about £2,700.
