so that he can finish putting the programme together. We already have several high profile performers, but that shouldn’t put anyone off. All rehearsed offerings will be welcome – and the theatre will be open for rehearsals throughout the afternoon. The actual performances will take place in the HPT starting at about 6.00pm.
Also important is that we shall be collecting donations towards a presentation to Tony, (Cheques to Norman [Norman Porter, Rill Cottage, Kiln Lane, Great Bealings, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP13 6NJ], payable to The Society of Old Framlinghamians) and he would also like to include a collection of comments from Tony’s past pupils. Again they should be sent to Norman by post or email (as above). The presentation will take place at the end of the performances, around 7.15, rather than at supper in the Dining Hall.
A bar will open in the Dining Hall Annex from 7.30pm, and a buffet self-service supper will then be available over the following two hours. There will be no formalities at the supper, no seating plan and definitely no speeches! You’ll be welcome to come to the dining room whenever you wish and sit at any table, each of which will have from six to eight places laid. If there are any special dietary requirements please let me know well in advance.
There will, of necessity, be a limit on the seating in the Headmaster Porter Theatre, but the number attending the meal is not restricted, and if you wish to bring a large party you’ll be welcome to do so.
There’s no charge for the entertainment part of the evening, but booking for the supper is essential. The charge for this is a mere £15, payable in advance, and includes a welcoming drink. The preferred method of payment is by a bank transfer (online or at your branch) to the SOF account (Society of Old Framlinghamians: Sort Code 40 05 30, Account Number 01494252. Please include the payment reference: SUFSUP). When this has been made, please send a confirmatory email to firstname.lastname@example.org
a. That you have made a payment, how much, and your full name
b. If you failed to include the payment reference SUFSUP
c. The identity of any other diners for whom the booking is being made.
If a bank transfer is not practical, then a cheque made payable to “Society of Old Framlinghamians” may be sent to me by post at the address below, together with a note giving the names of the people it is for.
