At Sandhurst won Prize Cadetship in 1923. In the Army joined 1st Bn Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regt.). Appointed Lt in 1926. Died in the defence of Dunkirk on Monday 27th May 1940, aged 36. Remembered on the Dunkirk Memorial.
