- Cause of Death Avro Lancaster II (DS814) aircraft, with an aircrew of seven, took off from RAF Waterbeach for a night-time raid over Berlin. Over the target area, it was hit by either flack or a night-fighter, resulting in its crashing and taking the lives of the entire crew.
