Mr Herbert Peter Blofield JP (1882-1885)
He was a farmer and one of the best known figures of his time in English agriculture. He was a leading authority on Red Poll cattle, judging at the Royal Bath and West, Smithfield and other shows, including World Fair in Chicago. He died in 1952 at the age of 51 and his funeral cortege was a mile long. “His death is regarded as a great loss to the agricultural industry generally and especially in the Eastern Counties” The Times.
