Mr Alexander Massey Anderson (1919-1921)

School Information Sub-prefect. Football XI 1920.
Career Information Many years special correspondent and manager at Alexandria, Egypt for Reuters; accredited as special correspondent with the Eastern Mediterranean Fleet in 1940; in HMS Illustrious, aircraft-carrier, when she was dive-bombed; his despatches on that and other occasions attracted wide notice.
Date of Death 15 December 1941
Cause of Death Drowned in the Mediterranean when a U-boat torpedoed his ship, HMS Galatea
