Colonel Ernest Victor Gostling DSO (1885-1891)
Excelled at both academic and sport achievements, playing football for Suffolk and getting a Blue at Cambridge. Qualified as a doctor and surgeon and in WW1 served in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was wounded at Sulva Bay, presumably as part of the Gallipoli campaign in 1915 and was awarded the Distinguished Service Order on 3 June 1916. He died in 1923 at the age of 50.
