David Turnbull writes : This took place at Aldeburgh Golf Club on Saturday/Sunday 11-12th October 2025. Fifteen teams competed.
Framlingham were represented by James Brocks, Kevin Hambling, Vernon Brown & Nick Bailey in a format of stableford foursomes over two rounds on Saturday, and matchplay head to head on the Sunday morning.
As usual, the tournament was expertly organised and run by David Wybar, and a few wagers were exchanged on Sunday’s matches after dinner on the Saturday evening.
This was the first competitive look at the new course layout at Aldeburgh which was in remarkable condition.
Framlingham finished 9th after the Saturday stableford with 119 points and faced Sherborne B in the head-to-head on Sunday morning with Brocks & Hambling finishing 4up and Brown & Bailey 2 down. So overall a 9th position finish. All thoroughly enjoyed the competition and the weekend.
