OF Lodge gives £1000+ of equipment to Bumblebee Charity

Gary Duce (K71-79) writes : W Bro Richard Gould (K66-71) and S & F W Bro o Chris Lee (G84-86) attended the Bumblebee Charity in Sproughton to deliver the kinetic therapy equipment that the OF Lodge so generously committed to donate at the Installation meeting. In addition to the £1000+ of equipment we were also able to deliver a consignment of art therapy supplies courtesy of an Essex based charity – Get Started Art.

Thanks to everyone for backing this donation and I can assure you that 5 minutes watching the children enjoy their ‘new ‘toys’ would convince you that this was a fantastic choice for a donation by our excellent Charity Steward, W Bro Richard Gould.

Such is the success of the Bumblebee Charity (www.bumblebeechildren.org.uk) and a feature on the most recent Children In Need programme means that demand for their services is through the roof and expansion is inevitable. I am absolutely certain that they will need our assistance again soon.
