SOF Norfolk Supper – 20 November 2025

On a cold November evening, with flurries of snow in the air, 22 members of the Society and their guests from near and far gathered at The King’s Head, Bawburgh for the Norfolk Supper.  Ed Wharton had organised a very tasty menu comprising Gin-Cured Sea Trout, Treacle-Cured Venison Haunch and Chocolate Marquise which was greatly enjoyed by all in the welcoming surroundings of this ancient pub.  Following the meal, Martin Myers-Allen gave a short update on Framlingham College, Norman Porter talked about his forthcoming book ‘Homage to Heroes’ and Ruth Elwood paid tribute to the late Tony Martin, a previous regular attender at Norfolk Suppers.
