Lloyd KENYON
His daughter Sally Drayton has written to say that Lloyd died on 3rd February 2003 in New Zealand. She said that he and his wife had had a wonderful Christmas with them in Christchurch, then he caught pneumonia and was hospitalised in Christchurch for 3 weeks. He appeared to be recovering and was transferred to the hospital in Timaru, but then went into a decline and died. And then 2 months later his widow died too, from a heart attack.
Lloyd had been the longest serving correspondent to the SOF Magazine Overseas Bag having started soon after he went out to NZ from Fram in the mid 1930s and has had a mention in almost every Mag since.
A full obituary will be printed in the Autumn 2003 Magazine.
But, if tears must come, please let them flow to ease your heart, for I shall know - with thankful pride - they only show that through the years you loved me so. Lloyd D. Kenyon 13 August 1980
