OF Exhibition

Treading the Golden Mile - small
Peter Rodulfo (R70-75) is holding a paintings and sculptures exhibition titled “Treading the Golden Mile”.  This will take place between November 3rd - 17th at Skippings Gallery, 133 King Street, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2PQ.  The exhibition is open daily (incl Sunday) 10 am - 4pm (or by appointment)

Peter says “Conceived in the summer of 2018, its a unique take on such familiar Yarmouth sights such as the Hippodrome, Winter Gardens, bouncy castles and amusement arcades, also on show will be a small selection of older paintings and new sculptures “

2018 OF Shooting Review

Steve McBowell writes : The last time the Old Framlinghamian Rifle Club lifted the Podd Trophy the UK was gearing up for the Olympics, Facebook went public and Brexit was just a silly word. But finally, in 2018, a seminal year for the veterans, the old crocks vanquished the young bucks and finally took home the silver in the annual .22 match at the college.The OFs have now closed the book on the greatest year in the history of the club.

Congratulations to Brian Smith (S53-57) (SOF Past President) who was installed as the Worshipful Master of the OF Lodge on Saturday 27 October 2018.

OFs win Dick Watson Trophy again

OFs retained the Dick Watson Trophy at Aldeburgh winning for the third year running.   The Trophy is an old boy inter-school foursome golf competition played this year by 11 teams.

OF Rob Mutimer wins Pig Farmer of the Year Award

Thomas Wornham (K86-92) attached this image of Rob (George) Mutimer (G86-89) winning Pig Farmer of the Year Award at the Farmers Weekly Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Mayfair on 4 October 2018. Rob has built up a successful farming enterprise in Norfolk supplying many restaurants including a chain of eateries developed by Matthew Colchester (K86-90).

SOF Norfolk Supper - Thursday 8th November 2018

The supper is being organised again by Colin Wigg at Bawburgh Golf Club on Thursday 8 November. Chris Essex will be speaking and this will be an occasion specially dedicated to WW1 and the College involvement, just 3 days before the national commemoration.

OF Rifle Club undertook their first overseas tour

As well as Sandy Walker winning a Commonwealth Bronze Medal and Jon Ford & James Mehta representing GB Vets in South Africa, the OF Rifle Club undertook their first overseas tour taking part in the Jersey Open Meeting May 2018.
