Richard Cullinan reported that the OF pairings of Robin Beckwith & Michael Spencer, Peter Watts & Martin Lamb and Robin Anderton & Richard Cullinan all won their 1st round matches in a convincing 3-0 win over Chigwell. In the 2nd round we lost 1-2 to Wrekin, who reached the final. In the matches that were lost we were up, only to sadly collapse at the end. However, everyone had lots of fun and the team spirit was good.

The OF pairing of Barry Lorkin and Colin Stokes (playing with Chigwell who were 14th) came 7th with a score of 22 against a winning score of 31 achieved by Stowe. Barry reported that he and Colin both enjoyed themselves with a few beers, a little wine and a good lunch afterwards, enabling them to forget the soaking they had received whilst playing in the morning when the greens were flooded by the time they reached the 7th.
